名词定义联合国教科文组织于1972年11月16日在巴黎通过的一个国际公约。该《公约》提出对具有突出的普遍价值的文化和自然遗产进行特别保护，因为这些文化和自然遗产对全世界人民都具有重要意义。自然遗产是指从审美或科学角度看具有突出的普遍价值的自然面貌、地质和自然地理以及生态环境、天然名胜或明确划分的自然区域。
